Project Rita

Welcome to the project page. This is where you can follow the progress of my Nissan 300zx or as she become known “Rita”.

I’d loved the Z32 300zx ever since I first saw one when I was the ripe old age 11 back in 1991. When one popped up for sale a couple of years back that need a little bit of love I trooped up to Yorkshire and trailered the beast back.

Here are a couple of pictures of how she looked when I trailered her back from Keighley in Yorkshire.

As you can see the front bumper had taking wack and the rear spoiler was missing. The only bit of rust on the whole car was on the tailgate where the spoiler had been, so that was the first port of call for some T.L.C. and then I had to decide whether I was going to keep to the original look or go with some subtle changes.

I opted to make a couple slight changes but didn’t want to go down the route of making her look like something out of Star Wars.
I like this style of spoiler that is blended into the boot.

I opted for the 1999 specification front bumper.

Also, I liked the Wings West design rear bumper.

See you soon for the next installment.
