Services and Listings


AAC’s services and descriptions may change at any given time. You are requested to ensure that all services to be carried out are to your satisfied requirements before any works commence.


The Estimate prepared by AAC is an offer to conduct repairs/procedures to the damage indicated at the price stated. The customer’s agreement however stated to proceed with repairs constitutes acceptance of that offer and forms a binding legal contract incorporating these Terms of Business.

Estimates are provided to be reasonable indication of costs that will become payable upon the completion of the repair/service stated. An estimate is provided by AAC on the understanding that an estimate is not a quoted price but as an estimate. In the event of a repair/service becoming more than 15% of the estimated cost AAC will make reasonable efforts to inform the customer of such extra costs.
If for any reason, including but not limited to inclement weather, AAC is unable to carry out the repair/service or collection at the time date or location indicated on the Estimate, any and all liability incurred by AAC as a result shall be discharged by AAC making an offer to conduct the repair at the Estimate price at an alternative time date or location convenient to both parties, whether or not such time date and location is identified or such offer is accepted.

Repairs/Services may be completed at a location agreed with the customer, or at AAC nominated location. AAC has absolute discretion to decide on the location for the repair/service. This decision may be changed, including on the date of the booked repair/service, as variable factors including but not limited to weather and available light affect the decision. If AAC decides that the repair/service should be completed at a location other than that originally envisaged the customer authorises AAC to remove the vehicle to such an appropriate location. Removal and return of the vehicle in these circumstances will be a service provided by AAC at no further charge.


Deposits, Cancellations and Bookings

AAC reserves the right to request a deposit of £50 or up to 50% be paid in advance for any booking. The size of the deposit will be determined at the time of booking. Where parts, accessories or specially ordered materials need to be ordered before a repair/service can be carried out these must be paid for in advance. Any money paid for parts or as a deposit will be non refundable.

Where a car is not presented for services in a clean condition unless otherwise agreed, A.A.C. reserves the right to charge for the relevant service to be carried out in order to facilitate the repair or services.

Where a booking cancellation is made less than 3 working days before the car is booked in for any works, A.A.C. reserves the right to retain any deposit paid. Where a booking needs to be changed less that 3 days before an appointment due to unforeseen circumstances, this may be allowed on one occasion only, and at the sole discretion of AAC.


Body Repairs

AAC undertakes to carry out the services or repairs indicated on the Estimate. If it becomes clear during the work that, in the opinion of the operator, further work is necessary to properly complete the service/repairs outlined on the Estimate, the customer’s authorisation and agreement will be obtained before any further work is undertaken that would increase the price shown on the Estimate. If such authorisation is not forthcoming, AAC reserves the right not to continue with the repairs that require the further work. In these circumstances the full Estimate price remains payable by the customer. Further work that does not increase the Estimate price may be proceeded with without the requirement for customer authorisation. No repair will be identical to an automotive factory finish, which is machine-sprayed to tolerances beyond human capability. Hence no repair will ever be ‘as good as new’. AAC discharges its obligations under any repair agreement by providing a good quality, hand-completed aftermarket repair. In normal circumstances, such a repair is unlikely to be detected by a casual examination of the vehicle by an untrained observer unaware of the previous damage location.

The AAC repair system includes elements (including but not limited to factory paint reproduction recipe database) that are provided by third parties. Finish (including but not limited to colour) match may be approximate only when limitations of such third party supplied elements prevent a more precise finish match. In any such case, provision by A.A.C. of an approximate finish match will be considered supply of a good quality repair.

It is the absolute responsibility of the customer to advise AAC of any non-original finish areas on the vehicle. In case of incompatibility with a non-original finish (whether or not notified by the customer) AAC has the right to void this contract – in these circumstances, AAC will not be obliged to complete or rectify any repair. Liability for mutual contractual mistake under this agreement rests with the customer.

Extent of Warranty.

AAC guarantees repairs for a period of three years. This is a formulation and application guarantee: that the finish will not degrade due to the paint being improperly mixed or applied by AAC.

No guarantee of any sort is offered against damage to the finish by any corrosion or rust (whether or not evident before the repair was carried out) by failure of the surface to which the repair is applied (including but not limited to failure of a previous aftermarket paintwork repair), further accident or impact (including but not limited to stone chipping) or by inappropriate aftercare once the vehicle has been returned to the customer. Aftercare instructions will be supplied by AAC with the customer invoice.

Chip repairs, ‘touch-ins’ and any other repairs identified as such to the customer by AAC will be on an ‘improve only’ basis, and no representation is made and no guarantee offered that such a repair will be in any way undetectable against the original finish. Repairs may be identified as an”attempt to improve only” in which case AAC does not guarantee any



improvement. Claims under the AAC guarantee are settled by free rectification or (at AAC discretion) a refund equal to the portion of the invoice price representing the unsatisfactory repair. Any refund or liability shall be limited to a maximum of the amount quoted upon the estimate or invoice. AAC will not be liable for any consequential loss incurred as the result of a repair. It is incumbent on the customer to keep a receipt as proof of work carried out. Any warranty claim made without a receipt shall be at AAC discretion.


The warranty does not cover used, second hand parts or non genuine parts not supplied by AAC.


Order Numbers


Trade customers are required to issue order numbers for any works/service required.No works/services other than what is stated on the order form will be undertaken.

Unless other arrangements have been agreed beforehand, payment in full is due on completion of the services/repair and shall be by, cash, cheque, card (chip and pin) or bank transfer (subject to the cheque guarantee and processing fee of £10 in force at the time of payment).


Late Payments


Any late payment will receive an additional charge. Charges are per week and will be at an additional cost of the original outstanding amount. Outstanding payments of 1 week will be liable to a 38% additional amount of the original amount. Any further weeks will be liable to an 39% additional amount of the original amount, per week. After a period of one calendar month where full payment has not been made, AAC will request a 3 party debt collection agency to reclaim all outstanding amounts and additional charges incurred by any such agency.



AAC will hold any vehicle, part or item until full payment has been received. We reserve the right to charge a storage fee of an Additional £15 per day.


Product Warranty Statements.


Any product claims of durability, performance, lifespan, warranty or otherwise is stated by the manufacturer (excluding painting services) and not by AAC. AAC will assist as best we can in any case where a manufactures product has failed.



AAC reserve the right to apply storage fees to vehicles left in their custody. Notice of such charges will be given no less than 24 hours in advance and at the rate of £15 per day.
